This Privacy Policy explains how TextGoAI ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our text automation platform. By using TextGoAI, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up, we collect your name, business name, email address, and phone number.

Customer & End-User Data

You may input customer phone numbers and appointment details into the platform for the purpose of sending automated texts. This data belongs to you; we process it solely to deliver the service.

Call & Message Data

We log missed call timestamps, caller phone numbers routed through your TextGoAI number, message delivery receipts, and customer responses.

Billing Information

Payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store payment card numbers on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data.

Usage & Technical Data

We collect login activity, feature usage, and browser/device information to operate and improve the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To deliver the three core automations: missed call text-back, appointment reminders, and review requests
  • To send platform notifications such as usage alerts and overage warnings
  • To process billing and manage your subscription through Stripe
  • To provide customer support — you may hear directly from one of our founders
  • To improve the platform using aggregated, anonymized usage data
  • To comply with applicable laws and regulations

We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. SMS & TCPA Compliance

TextGoAI sends SMS messages on behalf of your business to your customers. The following applies:

  • You, as the business owner, are solely responsible for obtaining proper prior written consent from your customers before adding their numbers to the platform
  • TextGoAI complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and all applicable carrier messaging guidelines
  • All automated messages include your business name and a clear opt-out instruction
  • Recipients can reply STOP at any time to opt out; opt-outs are honored immediately and permanently
  • Replies of HELP will return contact information for support

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data or your customers' data to any third party. Data is shared only with the following essential service providers:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Telephony/SMS carrier — message delivery
  • Cloud hosting provider — infrastructure and data storage

Each provider is bound by their own privacy policy and applicable data processing agreements. We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics platforms beyond anonymous usage metrics.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.

5. Data Retention

  • Message logs are retained for 90 days for support and debugging, then deleted
  • Account data is retained while your account is active
  • Upon account cancellation, you may request full deletion of your data within 30 days by emailing us
  • Billing records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

  • All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
  • Access to customer data is restricted to authorized personnel only (currently the two founders)
  • Payment card data is handled exclusively by Stripe under PCI-DSS compliance

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your information using industry-standard practices.

7. Your Rights

Business Account Holders

  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data at any time
  • You may export your message history and customer list at any time from your dashboard
  • You may cancel your account at any time with no penalty

End Customers (SMS Recipients)

  • Any person who receives a text through TextGoAI may opt out by replying STOP
  • Opt-outs are permanent and immediate — no further messages will be sent from that number

8. Children's Privacy

TextGoAI is a business-to-business platform not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of TextGoAI after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
